We know how important it is to find, develop and nurture the talent that will support Impala’s future growth and success.

We pleased to run a graduate programme that is a key component of our talent and retention strategy.

About our programme

We run a biennial two-year graduate programme that typically begins in the Autumn.

We run a recruitment campaign across late Spring and Summer to attract high-calibre candidates to experience a range of operational roles as part of our structured rotation in key roles across ports, freight forwarding, blending and sampling, and maintenance. Applications will close at the end of August.

Every six to eight months you’ll have a chance to experience a different area of the business, from operations, logistics and maintenance, to finance and commercial. You’ll gain valuable new skills and insight, as well as further developing your soft skills, project management expertise and potential for leadership training.

Locations

Each programme has graduate openings across various operating hubs, depending on business needs. When we start recruiting, you will be able to access graduate vacancies through this website or Impala Terminals’ LinkedIn page. Please remember to visit once we launch the programme to check live vacancies.

Exposure and Opportunity

Participants have an interview with our HR Global Head at the beginning of the programme; halfway through the programme there’s the opportunity to present an innovation or improvement project that gives exposure to our global management team.

Culture

When you join Impala, you will experience for yourself what it means to be part of a great team that always strives for the best, has a mindset for success and is an entrepreneurial and fast-paced global team.

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • English/Spanish language
  • Outstanding performance as students
  • Mobility and flexibility on location
  • Background in chemical, engineering or mining discipline

In return we’ll offer a fixed-term contract of two years, (including probationary period and complying with local standards); and a package of competitive remuneration and benefits depending on location.

Future careers

There’s the opportunity to take up a permanent position in one of our operations, applying the knowledge acquired during the graduate programme, upon successful completion of the two years.
