Our ownership structure

Impala Terminals Group is a 50:50 Joint Venture between leading supplier of commodities Trafigura and Australian pension fund management group IFM Investors. 

This collaboration between two top-tier global sponsors in infrastructure and commodities has been in place since 2018. 

Trafigura is one of the world’s largest independent energy and commodity logistics companies and a global trader of oil and petroleum products, metals and minerals, gas and power. Trafigura provides anchor volumes, access to market insights and growth opportunities to Impala. 

Global infrastructure investment management firm IFM has a near 30-year track record in infrastructure investments and management and manages an infrastructure portfolio of assets under management exceeding US$76.1bn. IFM provides infrastructure investments expertise to Impala.
